I AM a personal trainer in Hackney, east London. I work with people from all walks of life who want to look and feel great and have energy for day-to-day life. I offer friendly, supportive, challenging and enjoyable training, in my private fitness studio in Netil House, Hackney E8, or in a park.
Sessions are based on weight training and bodyweight exercises with padwork boxing, and other styles of training, such as HIIT, and equipment such as medicine balls, Bosu and other balance pads, and TRX suspension trainer.
I offer a free trial session and there's no extra charge for couples.
Alongside exercise sessions, there are two more key parts to getting fit: nutrition and activity (the movements of daily life). I will help you work on those, too.
I qualified as a personal trainer in 2009 with YMCAfit, and hold qualifications in nutrition and ante/post natal exercise, as well as in padwork boxing, running, core fitness, circuit training and kettlebells.
Previously, I worked as a gym fitness instructor and personal trainer in major central London gyms, and then co-founded a fitness studio in Hackney, before opening my own private studio for personal training clients.
My sports are tennis, squash, badminton, golf and ultra-walking. In 2018, I completed the 100km Action Challenge London to Brighton walk in 2018 and 2019 (in 25 hours, 23 minutes), and the 55km Eastbourne to Brighton event.
I am a father of two and the owner of two dogs, studied politics at the University of Essex, and worked as a Customs officer on the Thames and national newspaper journalist before training as a personal trainer.
My studio in
I am based in a private studio in Netil House E8, on the corner of Westgate Street and Mare Street, near Broadway Market and London Fields. It is a calm, light and fully-equipped space for working out. You could also work in your home, or in a park. I charge no extra for training friends or couples together.
